Weshalb ist der Umbau einen Sony A7 für H-alpha Fotografie sinnvoll?

Die Preise für Spezialkameras für H-alpha Fotografie liegen im 4-stelligen Bereich. Dass es günstiger geht, verdanken wir dem großen Angebot an gebrauchten DSLR. Die Kamerahersteller bauen in den meisten Kameras einen Infrarot-Sperrfilter (Phaser layer Infrared-absorption glass) ein, um für das Auge nicht sichtbaren und für das natürliche Bild unerwünschten Strahlen zu sperren. Der H-alpha Bereich fängt am Rand des gerade noch für das Auge sichtbaren Bereichs an. Auch mit einer Standardkamera kann man im H-alpha-Bereich fotografieren. Allerdings sind dafür längere Belichtungszeiten notwendig und einige Lichtinformationen kommen erst gar nicht am Sensor an. Durch die Entfernung des Sperrfilters wird erreicht, dass mehr im H-alpha-Bereich liegenden Strahlen auf den Sensor eintreffen.

Mit Entfernung des Filters verschiebt sich das Auflagenmaß des Sensors. Der Sensor wird beim Umbau exakt justiert, damit der Autofokus weiterhin treffsicher funktioniert und auch manuelle Objektive sich auf unendlich einstellen lassen.

Nach der Umrüstung weist die Kamera im Vergleich zu einer Standardkamera eine um mehr als das Vierfache erhöhte Empfindlichkeit in der H-Alpha-Linie und eine um mehr als das Sechsfache höhere Empfindlichkeit in der Schwefel-II-Linie auf. Auf den Bildern sehen Sie die Galaxie M51 und M31 (Andromeda-Nebel) sowie der Elefanten - und Rosetten-Nebel zu sehen.

1. Astrofotografie für die klaren Nächte und was mache ich am Tag? Nach dem Umbau kann man die Kamera weiterhin für Tageslichtaufnahmen verwenden. Dazu führt man entweder einen manuellen Weißabgleich durch oder setzt auf das Objektiv einen UV-IR-Cut-Filter auf, der die optischen Eigenschaften des entfernten Sperrfilters hat.

Why is the conversion of a Sony A7 for H-alpha photography useful?

Prices for special cameras for H-alpha photography are in the 4-digit range. We owe it to the wide range of used DSLRs. Camera manufacturers install an infrared blocking filter (Phaser layer Infrared-absorption glass) in most cameras to block radiation that is invisible to the eye and undesirable to the natural image. The H-alpha range starts at the edge of the area that is still visible to the eye. You can also take pictures with a standard camera in the H-alpha range. However, longer exposure times are necessary and some light information does not arrive at the sensor at all. By removing the blocking filter, more rays in the H-alpha range are allowed to reach the sensor.

With the removal of the filter, the back focus of the sensor shifts. The sensor is precisely adjusted during the conversion so that the autofocus continues to function accurately and manual lenses can also be set to infinity.

After conversion, the camera will have a greater than 4 fold increase in sensitivity in the H-alpha line compared to a stock camera and a greater than 6 fold increase in sensitivity in the Sulfur-II line.
