DAUM NANCY GROSSE JUGENDSTIL CAMEO VASE MIT AKELEI DEKOR

Große Balustervase auf bündigem Stand, Basis durch geschliffene Kehlung abgesetzt, Wandung nach oben hin leicht geschwungen und sich zur Öffnung weitend, farbloses Glas mit flockigen weißen und gelblichen, im Standbereich mit dunkelbraun-violetten Pulvereinschmelzungen, mit geätztem und in farbigem Email bemaltem Akelei Dekor,  satinierte Oberfläche im Hintergrund, Basis und Boden glatt poliert, Reliefsignatur 'DAUM NANCY FRANCE' mit Lothringerkreuz auf der Wandung zwischen den Pflanzen. TECHNIK:   HANDGEFERTIGTES CAMEOGLAS mit mehreren Schichten überfangenes Glas, bei dem im Hochschnitt Motive ausgearbeitet werden. Seit Mitte 19. Jh. erfolgte die gestaltende Formgebung auch durch Ätzung. Schon in der Antike wurden Gefäße aus Cameoglas hergestellt, Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts wurde diese Glaskunst vor allem in Nancy weiter entwickelt. Large baluster vase on a flush stand, base set off by polished fillets, wall slightly curved upwards and widening towards the opening, colorless glass with flaky white and yellowish powder inclusions in the base area with dark brown-violet inclusions, with etched columbine decor painted in colored enamel, satined surface in the background, base and bottom smoothly polished, relief signature 'DAUM NANCY FRANCE' with Cross of Lorraine on the wall between the plants. TECHNIQUE:   HANDMADE CAMEO GLASS Glass overlaid with several layers, with high-cut worked out motifs. Since the middle of the 19th century, the design has also been done by etching. Cameo glass vessels were already being made in antiquity; cameo glass vessels were already being made in ancient times, and at the end of the 19th century this glass art was further developed, especially in Nancy.
